Saturday Night's Main Event once again changed the landscape of WWE, thanks to the return of Cody Rhodes and the addition of Bronson Reed ro Seth Rollins' formidable new stable.
Money in the Bank is only a couple of weeks away, but as we write this, there's no word on which men and women will walk away with the briefcases (that'll no doubt change soon enough).
Last year, it was Tiffany Stratton and Drew McIntyre, though the latter failed to cash in thanks to CM Punk's intervention.
We have plenty of other WWE rumours, though, including updates on McIntyre, Reed, Chelsea Green, Goldberg's retirement match, WWE's plans for AAA, and the latest on WrestleMania 42's location.
You can read through the latest WWE rumours below.
- Fightful reveals that Drew McIntyre is set to take some time off from WWE after his Steel Cage match with Damian Priest at Saturday Night's Main Event. The belief is that he's been working banged up for a while now.
- Priest, meanwhile, has been receiving tons of praise backstage for the toughness he's been showing, according to PW Insider.
- Talking of Saturday Night's Main Event, Fightful notes that Bronson Reed joining Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, and Paul Heyman's new faction was a relatively late decision as original plans didn't call for a third member.
- The site has also learned that Chelsea Green legitimately broke her nose during her Saturday Night's Main Event bout with Women's United States Champion Zelena Vega. However, it was a clean break, and she shouldn't be off TV.
- They also reveal that Liv Morgan is being factored into creative plans for RAW and may be back as soon as tonight's May 26 show.
- WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg's retirement match is still in the works and tentatively planned to take place in Atlanta, Georgia. It may go down during Saturday Night's Main Event on July 12, the night before the now confirmed Evolution 2 PLE. That's the same night AEW All In Texas takes place.
- In the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer writes that WWE is being "very aggressive about dominating Mexico, particularly with the AEW and CMLL alliance and WWE's purchasing of AAA."
- Fightful adds that WWE agents have already been attending AAA taping to get "a feel for how things are done," with Jeremy Borash seemingly leading the charge. Some of the top people in the company have been "knocked down a few pegs" as WWE establishes the fact that they're calling the shots now.
- Alberto Del Rio is expected to lose the AAA Mega Championship before Worlds Collide on June 7 and isn't factored into WWE's creative plans for the show.
- What of WrestleMania 42? It's now been confirmed that it won't be held in New Orleans next April, with several outlets reporting that WWE is in advanced talks with Las Vegas about running the PLE in Allegiant Stadium on April 18 and 19, 2026.
- Like it or not, it seems WWE and the USA Network are keeping SmackDown at three hours for the foreseeable future.
