Preview & Predictions for AEW Dynamite Beach Break:

On tap for tonight's episode, Jon Moxley puts the AEW World Championship on the line against Samoa Joe, who has had his number as of late. However, despite The Death Riders taking some losses, Moxley's forged a partnership with The Young Bucks, who will undoubtedly get involved and do something to cost Joe the win. Moxley's not losing the title on this show, by any means.

"Timeless" Toni Storm is up against three more potential challengers in AZM, Skye Blue, and Mina Shirakawa to determine if anyone of them deserve a title opportunity. Those three could pin each other and not the champion to earn that, which is a good means to pull off setting up a new No. 1 contender without making the champion look weak, but Storm keeps just beating everyone, too. It's hard to assume she's not going to win this one just the same.

Ricochet will face Zach Gowen after picking on him last week and stealing his prosthetic leg. That's a sentence you can only read or write when you're into professional wrestling.

Josh Alexander and Konosuke Takeshita will represent The Don Callis Family against the finalists of this year's Owen Hart Cup Tournament, who will either win despite their differences, or lose due to not being on the same page. I'm leaning toward the former, with an argument after the match.

Lastly, The Hurt Syndicate is going to vote again on whether or not MJF can join the group. At this point, I'm expecting something else to get in the way again and for it to be pushed to next week. Rinse and repeat.

Here are your results for AEW Beach Break Dynamite May 14, 2025:

  • "Hangman" Adam Page and Will Ospreay defeated The Don Callis Family (Josh Alexander and Konosuke Takeshita) by pinfall. Ospreay and Page ended up getting into an argument after the match due to some miscommunication and the two of them being heated about their upcoming match at Double or Nothing.
  • Top Flight were interviewed by Alicia Atout. They're fired up about MJF's attack from last week and still want to fight The Hurt Syndicate like they originally had came out to do. Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara came over to give them some words of encouragement.
  • Ricochet defeated Zach Gowen by pinfall. Mark Briscoe made the save after the match when Ricochet kept beating on Gowen.
  • The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin) defeated Top Flight by referee stoppage. Post-match, Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara came out to tell Lashley to let go of Dante Martin. CRU came out to say they want a tag title shot. MVP suggests CRU and Rhodes/Guevara fight on Collision to settle who gets the next tag team championship opportunity. After the commercial break, The Hurt Syndicate voted yes on bringing MJF into the group.
  • Four-Way AEW Women's World Championship Eliminator Match: Mina Shirakawa defeated AZM, Skye Blue and "Timeless" Toni Storm by pinfall on Storm. Mercedes Mone attacked AZM after the match and was chased away by Jamie Hayter.
  • Backstage, MJF introduced his lawyer, "Smart" Mark Sterling, to MVP. Of course, MJF would never sign a contract without having his lawyer look it over.
  • Nigel McGuinness apologized to Daniel Garcia for getting involved last week, but Garcia is fine with Nigel standing up for himself. Stokely Hathaway came out to represent FTR and spoke on their behalf to put out a challenge about a tag team match. Nigel wasn't sold on it, and after some more insults, FTR came out to fight
  • Steel Cage Match for the AEW World Championship: Jon Moxley (c) defeated Samoa Joe by pinfall with some help from Gabe Kidd, who gave Moxley the briefcase to use on Joe. After the match, Kidd low-blowed Powerhouse Hobbs and joined The Death Riders in continuing the fight against him and Willow Nightingale. The Young Bucks then came out and offered a handshake to Moxley, but before that happened, Kenny Omega then went after Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta. Kazuchika Okada was out next to strike Omega in the gut and toss him into the ring. The Young Bucks lowered the cage again. "Speedball" Mike Bailey went after Okada and they fought to the back while The Young Bucks, Moxley, Castagnoli, Yuta, Shafir, and Kidd beat down Joe and Omega. Swerve Strickland was out next, climbing the cage and jumping off on top of a bunch of them. The heels retreated. Swerve got a mic and issued a challenge for Anarchy in the Arena at Double or Nothing.
