Tonight's episode of WWE NXT (May 20, 2025) emanates out of the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida and airs at 8 p.m. ET on the CW Network.

This post will be updated throughout the evening to reflect live coverage of all the important information, noteworthy things that transpire, winners for all the match results, recaps of promo/talking segments and more. Keep refreshing for the most up-to-date results!

Preview & Predictions for WWE NXT:

On tap for tonight's episode, Joe Hendry will be "live in concert" for one of his song parody promos about Trick Williams, who he will face at Battleground with the TNA World Championship on the line. Williams will be able to respond in musical fashion as well by giving a rap performance.

Two matches for Battleground are also lingering as Kelani Jordan needs to beat ZARIA to earn a title match against Sol Ruca for the NXT Women's North American Championship, and the men's North American title challenger for Ricky Saints will be determined in a Triple Threat between Ashante "Thee" Adonis, Je'Von Evans, and "Super" Sean Legacy from WWE EVOLVE. I'm expecting Jordan and Evans to win, and for Ethan Page to somehow get involved in the men's North American title situation still.

Josh Briggs looks to fight Shawn Spears (and I'm anticipating Hank Walker and Tank Ledger to be in opposition of The Culling for that), just as Chase U students Kale Dixon and Uriah Connors will have their first tag team match on NXT as they face the returning OTM.

This is the go-home show heading into WWE Battleground, so any last minute adjustments to the card, as well as promos and video packages hyping matches like Stephanie Vaquer vs Jordynne Grace and the match between Tony D'Angelo and Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo will eat up a lot of time as well.

Here are your results for WWE NXT May 20, 2025:

  • Triple Threat No. 1 Contender's Match: "Super" Sean Legacy defeated Ashante "Thee" Adonis and Je'Von Evans by pinfall on Adonis to earn the match for Battleground against Ricky Saints, who was ringside and attacked by Ethan Page. Evans got involved in that brawl. (Note: This was strangely done, as it makes it seem like Page and Evans will face Saints, more than Legacy)
  • Backstage, Ava told Stevie Turner and Robert Stone to break up the brawl going on at ringside and then welcomed Tyra Mae Steele and Jasper Troy to NXT officially. Troy wants to make an impact immediately.
  • Stephanie Vaquer was watching a vignette about Jordynne Grace backstage with Lola Vice and then left the locker room. Vice was then approached by Fallon Henley and Jacy Jayne. Henley and Jayne had more of their in-fighting while talking trash about Vice, and Jayne volunteered Henley to have a match with Vice tonight to prove why she's not ahead of them in the line for any titles.
  • Shawn Spears defeated Josh Briggs by pinfall. Izzi Dame had gotten involved to help Spears win. The Culling fought with Briggs after. Hank Walker and Tank Ledger ran out to make the save and send them into a retreat.
  • Backstage, Thea Hail confronted Tatum Paxley about how Tatum went nuts last week and attacked her eyeball. As Hail was starting to connect with Paxley about understanding what it's like to lose everyone, Jaida Parker attacked Hail from behind, feigned sympathy for Paxley, and then called her stupid.
  • OTM (Bronco Nima & Lucien Price) defeated Chase U (Kale Dixon & Uriah Connors) by pinfall.
  • Myles Borne and Oba Femi had a face-to-face promo. Jasper Troy jumped Femi from behind. Borne ran back into the ring to try to help and Troy bounced. Borne offered Femi a hand to get up and Femi denied it. Borne then grabbed the title, held it for a moment, and handed it to Femi.
  • Backstage, Ava is pissed off at Ricky Saints and Ethan Page. She books a title match between the two for next week, seemingly cancelling the Battleground match all while saying Legacy has earned a shot at the title. It seems the Legacy match will have to wait until after, but the wording here was strange.
  • Lola Vice defeated Fallon Henley by pinfall.
  • Kelani Jordan defeated ZARIA by pinfall.
  • Joe Hendry had his concert and was attacked by Trick Williams, but got the upper-hand.
